Spring is Here

Spring has finally arrived and we are getting very excited for the Match!

I had a great time teaching Ellie and her preschool friends about metamorphosis and we ordered some caterpillars on amazon to watch grow. They thought it was pretty cool and so did I! At the end when we were setting the butterflies free I got to hold one on my finger which obviously has been a life long dream hah :)

Ellie has begun her soccer league and is really liking it. She's on a pink team of all girls and 2 of them are in her sunbeam class at church. I love that Brett knows all about soccer and has the time to play around with/teach her. Ellie had her first game today and scored 3 goals! She is a little sad when the kids take the ball from her, but we assured her that it's ok to try and take it right back. I don't think she's used to that mentality.

Brett is finishing up his last couple weeks of medical school, and then we will just be vacationing until graduation/residiency.

This has been a big month of weddings. First we attended Shibi & Pete's wedding in Dallas; Ellie was able to be the flower girl in the ceremony. She didn't want to use up all the pedals at once and decided to throw them at th
e wedding party as they left haha. We all had a good time.
Then a couple weeks later we went to one of my best friends Lisa, and her now husband Nathan's wedding in Houston. We made it a date and left the kids at home and had SO much fun. It was a really sweet ceremony and they definitely seem like a couple made for each other. It was a full blown reunion with all my friends from grade school; I was sad to have to say goodbye. Being around those girls and their significant others makes me feel like I'm back in high school again (which I loved) and we had a blast partying it up. (Brett wasn't too disappointed that we missed the dancing at the end hahaha)

Adelaide is 1!

Adelaide had a great birthday with a pink cake and a ball pit. I think she had a good time ;)

Right now Adelaide weighs 20 lbs 15 oz & she's 2 ft 5 in tall which is pretty close to the natural average. I think that she and I are both happy to be done breastfeeding - YAY grown up food!

Adelaide still likes Mom & Dad best but is starting to come around a bit. She happy to wave at strangers and say "hi" as long as they don't get too close or try to hold her hah. She also says "uh oh" when she drops things. Adelaide refuses to eat peaches (i've tried like 20 times...) but generally likes all food. She's finally learned to crawl, cruise, and stand; and she's very close to taking her first steps I think. She really loves her blankie & pacifier and singing "ee i ee i oh".

We love this little girl that brings so much light into our life!
